Dear Club Members,
We are pleased to announce that the Canadian Hanoverian Society’s 2022 Inspection Tour was a great success! This year, we were excited to welcome Maren Schlender from the Hanoverian Verband. Maren joined our Canadian judges - Inga Hamilton, George von Platen and Ursula Hosking to form this year’s judging committee.
The tour took place from September 1st to 13th and offered Foal Registrations and Shows, Mare Inspections and Shows, and Mare Performance Tests. Horses participating in the various inspection tour sites were eligible to receive the Fritz Floto Award, Gold Foal Designations, Albert Kley Top Ten Foal Awards, and Best Canadian Bred Jumper Foal Award and Best Canadian Bred Dressage Foal Award. The Best Canadian Dressage Bred Foal of 2022 and the Best Canadian Jumper Bred Foal of 2022, along with the High Scoring Dressage Bred Mare Performance Test winner will each receive an engraved pewter plate. All Top Ten Foal Award winners will receive a certificate.
Finally, we would like to thank all breeders who came out to support the Inspection Tour. After two years of being separated due to the pandemic, it was so gratifying to finally meet and share time with each other again! Congratulations to you for “staying the course” to continue to breed and train such lovely Hanoverian horses, especially under the trying circumstances of Covid. Our hats go off to you!
