The 2023 award recipient was presented to the Hanoverian Stallion Beau Balou ( Bon Beau/Calypso de Moyon). His Breeder/Owner Louise Masek was presented an engraved pewter plate and monetary gift.  Congratulations Louise!

Canadian Hanoverian Horse of Distinction

Discussion was held regarding the potential for the new Award to recognize an exceptional Horse and Breeder.

Stallion Service Auction

Due to the uncertain economic environment and a number of competing auctions, there was a decreased interest in our Auction.  A net profit of $6128 was raised, considerably less than in previous years.

Celle Semen Sales

Sumer 2023: 11 doses out of our inventory were sold.

Winter 2023/24:  10 breeders ordered a total of 39 doses.

Total Sales to date: $40,000 with approximately $10,000 in profits (to be finalized)

2024 Inspection Tour

The 2024 Tour will take place in early September 2024, over a 10-14 day period.  Marion Schlender will be our judge from Germany along with our own CHS judges Ursula Hosking, Greta Haupt and Inga Hamilton.  Mathew von Platen is our new judge in training.

Tribute to George von Platen

All participants joined the Board in extending their deepest condolences to his family.  His passing is a huge loss to our Community.
