The Western Breeding Club has successfully concluded its highly anticipated mare and foal inspections, and we are excited to share the results with you.
We were privileged to welcome Maren Schlender from the Hanoverian Verband, who joined Western Breeding Club President, Matthew von Platen, in inspecting this year’s mares and foals.
The inspection tour kicked off on September 1st at Spruce View Hanoverians in Edmonton, Alberta. We had a good turnout with two mares undergoing stud book inspections, including one 1A mare candidate. The foal show also saw strong participation, with two gold medal foals awarded to Spruce View Hanoverians.
Congratulations to them!
September 2nd saw Maren and Matthew travel to Tartan Farms in Airdrie, Alberta. Three mares were presented for stud book inspection. The foal show featured another excellent turnout, with Yankee Valley Sport Horses receiving a gold medal foal award!
Maren then travelled to Serendipty Farms in Kelowna, British Columbia for an inspection there.
Our deepest gratitude goes to everyone who contributed to the success of these inspections, with a special thank you to the facilities that graciously hosted us.
