Dear breeders,
We are pleased to announce the Canadian Hanoverian Society’s 2021 Inspection Tour is slated to take place from September 1st to 13th. We graciously thank those individuals who offered their farms as sites for the tour.
We are still hopeful our German judge, Maren Schlender, will join us for the tour. However, if due to restrictions Maren is unable to attend, we will continue with our inspection plans with our Canadian judges in attendance. This year, we are pleased to announce that the designation of Premium Mare Candidacy and Gold Medal Foal will be awarded to deserving recipients. All other awards normally given throughout the Inspection Tour will be postponed until next year when things return to normal.
The first inspections are scheduled to take place September 1st- 4th in Ontario. From there, our judges will work their way East, making stops in Quebec on the 5th and 6th. From there our judges will make themselves available to inspect horses in the Maritime Provinces on the 7th and 8th. Inspections in Western Canada will take place from the 10th-13th. See detailed schedule below.
Some farms will have stalls available. If you require stabling, please contact the owners/managers of those farms directly. Also, all mares need to be fully vaccinated for Flu/Rhino and Rabies. Ferme de Lys and South Lane Farm also require a Coggins test. Please have proof of vaccinations and Coggins test with you where required.
The Canadian Hanoverian Society will implement necessary COVID-19 measures at each venue site to slow the spread of the virus. For this year only, we will be allowing a limited number of personnel to accompany the horses at each venue. Moreover, at this time, spectators will be prohibited. If restrictions are loosened, we will welcome a limited number of observers. Details on these and other important requirements will be sent to you once we receive your entry form, as well as on our website and Facebook platforms.
Please find attached entry forms (one for Eastern Club members and another for Western Club members) to be used if you plan on attending any of the inspection venues.
Please email your entry form submissions by August 12, 2021.
