Hanoverian Stallion Dannebrog (Don Schufro x SPS Byzantina/Brentano II) now standing in Canada

The 10-year old Danish bred Hanoverian licensed breeding stallion Dannebrog has been sold to David Burke‘s Pangea Farms in Marmora, ON, Canada.

Bred by the Switzerland based Danish Dorthe Jeppesen, the liver chestnut Dannebrog is by Don Schufro out of SPS Byzantina (by Brentano II x Arogno x Schwalbenfreund).

Direct from Celle, Dannebrog is an exciting new sire for the North America market offering mare owners high quality fresh semen. Standing 16.2hh he is a dark liver chestnut, with three white socks. Dannebrog completed his 300 Day Stallion Performance Test at Adelheidsdorf in 2010 with fantastic scores, finishing 3rd overall in Dressage with an impressive index of 135.74.

His individual scores highlight his fantastic mind and overall high quality; Walk 9, Trot 9, Character 9, Rideability 9, Canter 8, Temperament 8, Willingness to Work 8 and Constitution 8. His test rider marks were equally exciting; Walk 8.33, Trot 9, Canter 8.33, Rideability 8.5 and Jumping Course Canter 8. The rigorous 300 Day testing highlighted his extraordinary character, his fantastic rideability and his three supple and elastic gaits.

His foals bear his trademark friendly disposition and possess his high-quality, correct movement. Dannebrog has produced two licensed sons, the ZDPF Premium Hengst Donaldson (Dannebrog x Worldly) and the Hanoverian licensed De Brunye (Dannebrog x Fabriano) son along with multiple State Premium daughters.

He crosses exceedingly well with refined mares making him an ideal partner for many North American mares who can often possess a higher concentration of Thoroughbred blood. Dannebrog has already arrived in Canada to join the licensed Hanoverian stallion Harvard (Hohenstein x Cardinal xx) standing at Pangaea Farms for the 2017 breeding season.
