Excellent quality of horses at the Free Jumping Competition in Verden

Penelope PJ_photo Tammo Ernst presseThe Perigueux/Calypso II-daughter Penelope PJ
(breeder: Heinz-Dieter Goedecke, Blumenhagen,
exhibitor: Pferdezucht Dr. Jacobs GbR, Bierbergen)
won the Free Jumping Competition of four-year-old
horses, held by the Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program.
"She was simply fantastic, second to none," was the
comment of the successful show jumping rider and
stallion holder Heiko Schmidt from Neu Benthen.
Together with Dieter Smitz, Bad Nenndorf, and
Hartmut Wilking, Stemwede, he was responsible for
evaluating and judging the 56 participants.

The chestnut mare Penelope PJ was the first horse
in the second division, earning the highest
scores of the day for style and potential. And the judges also awarded highest scores
for the first competitor in the third division: State premium candidate Celebration
by Canstakko/Granulit (breeder and exhibitor: Elke and Claudia Tegtmeyer, Norderney)
shined with powerful jumping capabilities and overall view and became the convincing
winner in this division. Her sire Canstakko already presented the best young jumper
in the first division: Candido, bred out of a Perpignon-dam (breeder: Dr. Dieter
Burfeindt, Heeslingen, exhibitor: Uwe Lemmermann and Dr. Dieter Burfeindt, Wilstedt).
Like Celebration, he was already placed high at the Free Jumping Competition last year.

The exhibitor of the overall winner was delighted to be honoured with a special prize,
a free breeding to the Hanoverian stallion Spartacus TN, standing with the stud
Henk Nijhof/Netherlands and successfully competing in the current indoor season
under Marco Kutscher. The Free Jumping Competitions were held for the 17th time.
The three-year-old futurity jumpers will compete in four weeks, on March 6. For
