By Michael Boyd Chairman, Canadian Hanoverian Society The Canadian Hanoverian Society had eight inspection sites this year beginning on September 3rd and 4th at Parkwood Stables near Guelph and ending on September 21st in PEI. Our judge from the Hanoverian Verband was Maren Schendler. At Parkwood Stables there were foal registrations, a foal show, mare registrations, a mare show and mare performance test. Our Eastern Canada Breeders Club has committed to developing a program focusing on the correct starting and training of young horses, for sport. It is targeted towards breeders, trainers and riders of young warmblood sport-horses. We will be starting with 2 weekend-long clinics, scheduled for October and November, 2014. New Stallion Approved for HV and AHS

On July 19, 2014 the Holstein stallion Cabardino was Approved for Breeding by both the Hanoverian Verband and American Hanoverian Society, at Canada’s 1st “Stallion Licensing” at Parkwood Stables in Rockwood Ontario. Furthermore Cabardino has been approved for the Jumper-Breeding Program for HV and AHS. Cabardino, by Carpaccio / Gaspari I / Cor de la Bryere, is owned by Charlot Farms.
