To breed registered Hanoverian horses, both the mare and stallion need to be registered and approved by the Hanoverian Verband. Stallions listed in the American Hanoverian Society Stallion Directory may be utilized, but require a payment to the German Verband of a “foreign sire ” fee of $150 (due on registration of resulting foal).
